Tamina Amadyar was born in 1989 in Kabul, Afghanistan. She lives and work in Berlin, Germany. The artist has participated in numerous group shows, for example at Berghain (Berlin, 2020), P420 Art Gallery (Bologna, 2019), Hiromi Yoshii Gallery (Tokyo, 2018), Schloss Neuhardenberg (2017), Kunsthaus Essen (2017) and Agnes Maybach (Cologne, 2015). Solo shows took place at Meyer Riegger (2021), Galerie Guido W. Baudach (2020/2017/2015), Oldenburger Kunstverein (2019), Kewenig (Palma de Mallorca, 2019), Eleni Koroneu Gallery (Athens, 2019) and Kunstverein Reutlingen (2018).
Tamina Amadyar studied with Tal R at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and was visiting professor for painting at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe from 2018 to 2021. She has been awarded the ars viva prize and will take part in a corresponding exhibition at Brücke-Museum Berlin in 2022.
